Mission
Un-channeled Creativity Captured
Mission

Our mission is to provide comprehensive, innovative, and compassionate care to every patient regardless of social class, creed, religion, ethnicity, gender, caste, or area of stay free of cost. Specifically, To build a center of excellence of research in Psychiatry, Neurosurgery and Clinical Neurosciences by 2012, based in Mumbai, India, whereby to provide a high quality clinical service to the people of India and South Asian subcontinent and to foster an academic environment of relevant teaching and research. We are dedicated to helping patients recognize their strengths and abilities through confidence building, empowerment, and technical assistance. CNRF’s mission is to capture the un-channeled creativity that every patient naturally embodies. It is by tapping into this un-recognized potential that we can finally start to help people in shaping their dreams. Another vital aspect of our mission is to help those who are in the most need, but do not have access to proper facilities. In particular, CNRF focuses on providing services to the people of the developing world, especially South Asia. With proper facilities, patients will no longer have to travel outside of the subcontinent to access and meet their basic healthcare needs.
State of the art neurological health care is very dismal in the developing countries. The total number of neurosurgeons in India is about 800 for a population exceeding 1,100 million. In contrast, Japan has 8,000 neurosurgeons for a population of 120 million. Moreover, most of the neurological facilities are concentrated in big cities, thereby depriving a major percentage of population of basic health needs. In order to provide accessible care to developing countries, CNRF will open a state of the art facility in Mumbai, India, providing care to the South Asian population in general. In the future, CNRF plans to expand by opening more facilities in key locations throughout the developing world. To read more about our future initiatives, click here.
